...Looking at those pictures I just do not know for sure. The size indicates that they are Guyanans. The striping and overall brownish color also indicate that they are Guyanans. However, they have more spot and crescent pattern on their sides than all of the imported Guyanans I have ever seen. Here on this forum in the past and in emails I have gotten from people in Guyana and Venezueala we have seen some snakes that do sort of look like your snakes. The snakes we call Guyana Rainbows are actually an unrecognized subspecies and there is some geographic variation in them. Many years ago we believed that they were naturally occurring intergrades between Brazilians and Colombians but when Brazilians are crossed to Colombians in captivity the resulting snakes do not look like the Guyanans. I just am not sure whether your snakes were imported from the wild or if they came from imported animals that looked like they do or if perhaps they were produced by breeding a Brazilian Rainbow to a Guyanan Rainbow. I am wondering if anyone else on the forum has ever seen imported Guyanan snakes that had as much spot and bright crescent pattern along the sides as yours do.
