Boa Racks?

ejtchr Jan 21, 2007 09:58 AM

Are there any pre-fabricated racks available, other than the pricey but seeminly worth the money, Freedom Breeder racks that will accomodate large female Columbian Boas? I've read that the formula is the perimeter of the tub should equal one and one half the length of the animal thus a eight foot snake would warrant a twelve foot perimeter, 4'x2' tub.

Thanks,

Eric

There's a reason why there are no boa breeder racks, that's because you can't disturb the female when she's gravid, by moving the whole tub out and into the rack. You can keep males and non-breeders, but it wouldn't be good for a gravid female.
