its weight looks fine. what kind of substrate are you using? the pics are kind of blurry. and what is your temp? cresteds don't need a basking light and they prefer cooler temps, such as room temperature. if your room gets unusually cold, you can use a low wattage red heat bulb, but i wouldn't leave a bright light on them like that.

the substrate were using is a soil , seems to hold humidity well, but the light is much brighter in the pics because i had a color boost on the camera to lighten up the cage a bit, but it keeps the temp at an even 75 degrees.

soil is good. is that the temp at the bottom of the cage (i noticed a guage sitting on the bottom)? if so, the top of the cage may be way too hot. during the winter, they can be kept in the low 70s during the day, with a drop into the low 60s at night.

ya, we just added more plants in to the cage recently and we dont know how to keep the humidiy gauge up we stuck it on and then got a new cage and when we went to remove it the sticky came off and im afraid to use duck tape because i dont know if it may be toxic for them and we tried scotch and it doesnt want to seem to stay, we also bought a hammock to sits in a top corner because they wernt eating off the ground i dont know if they felt like there wasnt enough ground cover but we added a new tree stump decoration and a long vine with leaves on it that covers some of the ground but we figured they'd just eat more having it be up more ill have to post another pic of what it looks like now but you may be right the light does seem a little close, close enough to dry out the food in the corner now up top on the hammock thing, also our cresties seem to be a really light shade sometimes you think thats because of the heat? or is it just one of there normal color changes.?

probably a normal color change. mine get really light sometimes too. as long as you see some color change, and they are not staying dark all the time (that could indicate stress or illness).
