radiant heat panel question

jnutz Jan 21, 2007 04:16 PM

i recently got a boaphile (3'x2'x17.5" i got the 1.5 under cage heat thinking it would be enough. it isnt. so i decided i want to install a radiant heat panel. im not sure which brand to go with tho, pro heat sounds pretty good, but i was wondering if i could get some opinions from people who have used different brands. also, with these, when they are purchased, is the plug unattached/able to be unattached then reattached? ive never used one of these, and im wondering how involved it is to run the cord out the back end. o its a jcp thats in it, if that matters. thanks in advance for any help.

that smiley face isnt supposed to be there, it was supposed to be an end parenthesis.

I can't speak to other brands. I just recently bought 16 of the Pro Products RHP's. They came with the plug not attached, so was easy to route through small hole in cage. I have to say, I am very pleased with them. they seem to heat the cages very well and without any "very hot" spots, more of a soft warming heat. I have them connect to herpstat pros, the new 4 channel T-stats. Also a product I am very pleased with.
