Red Axanthic question....

dmac77 Jan 21, 2007 05:15 PM

I know a bit about the het Red Axanthic gene that's coming to light slowly, but I'm looking for some more info on it. I have seen a few pictures of "het Red Axanthic" animals, but still haven't heard or seen a good description of what makes an animal a het Red. I also haven't seen good evidence of what the actual Red Axanthic looks like. If anyone has any good info out there or pictures, please enlighten me if you feel so inclined.

I'm looking for an animal to branch out into from my pastel project and right now I'm leaning heavily towards the pied, clown, or albino recessives, but another co-dom morph could be interesting too... Anyway, any input is welcome. Thanks

Dave.

Look at Corey Wood's website. Also Ralph Davis has worked with this morph and produced a few Red Axanthics in '06.

Since the first poster covered your questions about the Red Axanthics and provided pics, I'll just pass on the addy for the Hunter's Guide for the Het Red Axanthics.
