my snake ate a fuzzy rat than i fed a second one and she held it for 1 minute and then let it loose. has this ever happen to anyone? the rat even lived? luck @%#@$@. the only thing i can think of was maybe she didnt want to eat it and decided to let go? any comments?? thanks.

That has happened to me but with my female carpet. It was the first time I had offered her a rat and I'm pretty sure that was the reason. Her feeding response was so strong she immediately grabbed it and wrapped it up but just like yours, she uncoiled and let go and the rat lived! I couldn't believe it! In order to get her to switch to rats I had to feed her a mouse and then put a prekilled rat into her mouth as she was finising the mouse. She just kept swallowing like it was one big mouse.
