African Rat Question- Are they "legal"?

Hey all,

I may start breeding African Rats and was wondering if it was legal to possess them in the state of Florida? If so, will lizards (leopard geckos) eat their babies?

ive never tried to feed any lizards ARs before. If they eat pinkies already i wouldnt see why not...
