I saw the post about the nile/gator...

breeding that was deleted. A couple months ago I also witnessed a nile/morelets hybrid attempting to breed an american alligator at St. Augustine. Both animals were in the 4 1/2' to 5' range. Definitely not adults which made it very interesting? Maybe males are sexually mature sooner than commonly thought. Just like we have changed our idea on how old a male boa or python has to be to succesfully reproduce? Good food for thought.

yes very odd! Animals not of apparent breeding size breeding and crocodile to alligators breedings??

I would have to think its not possible for such a breeding to produce offspring, I have never heard of such breedings until today.

Really makes me wonder ......
