Egg question update

jasonw Jan 22, 2007 11:07 AM

I hold 0 hope for them. I checked on them in the incubator thismorning and they were begining to mold. I took to lid off of the egg container and set it out of the incubator in order to dry it out a little bit but I am pretty sure the damage is done. The only bad part is if my Geckos stay on this schedule I will have to wait a year for more eggs. The last time Kirmy laid an Egg was Jan of 06.

Females are to lay eggs every 4-6 weeks. They lay usually 2-3 at a time. If they lay one it's usually not a fertile female. So if your getting only 1 or 2 a year most likley she could be a hot female that will not produce anything!

This is the 2nd time she has produced for me, the first was one dryed out egg. These 2 seemed pretty dry when I found them but after going into the incubator they apeared to pull back and do well for a few days before starting to mold. For some reason she will only alow the male to breed with her one time a year. My first egg cam in Jan of 06 and she would noit do it agan untill Jan of 07. Also she was to young the first tiem so maybe that messed somthing up.
