Feeding Blood for the first time

ratstar Jan 22, 2007 11:48 AM

I am trying to get my new Blood Python to eat for the first time since I've had it. I've had it for about two weeks now.

I have tried live (for short periods of time with me watching to make sure it doesnt get hurt but the mouse/rat).

I have tried frozen thawed, but dont even know how to do that one. Am I supposed to heat it up in a jar of water, and just try to get it feeling warm.

I've tried different times in the day. Late afternoon, late night, and all night with just the frozen.

Also tried mouse and rat. The snake just doesnt seem interested at all. Just doesnt even react to the mouse/rat being there. What else should I be doing?

Ask whoever you got it from what it was taking.
If it is a baby I would say scent with hamster. How long has it been? How long have you had it? All that stuff.
