P.O.S. ? H doesn't seem to care!

There was a good swell a week or so ago and now she is showing signs of going into shed (I am assuming it is a post ovulation shed). This little guy doesn't seem to think so though. He just won't quit!

guess I should leave him in even during the shed.

Just leave him in there until he has absolutely no more interest in her.I've heard that if you yank the male too soon you can get slugs.Who knows, there may be more eggs to be fertilized.

Good Luck !!! I got my fingers crossed.

he stops for at least a straight week or two. Some of my males have continued to try to breed after ovulation but most of the time they stop shortly before ovulation. Just curious how long has he been in with her? My females typically ovulate after having been with the males 3 months at the soonest more often at 3 1/2 months, sometimes 4 months.

Good luck with that.

They have been together since early November..I had a different male in with her about half way thru October who was showing no interest so I introduced this male and they have been at it ever since with only an occasional break.
