Dave's new house

funkymonkey Jan 23, 2007 03:40 AM

Seems to be coming along nicely
Will give him much more room while taking up less in our house,
so keeps everyone happy, lol

2 * 24 inch 10% UV will be really benificial for him i hope. and Plenty of levels and places to hangout.

Nice tidy lighting install as well, I never like having wires in the viv, so really pleased with this one so far.

Wow, that's a nice terrarium!

Boost Jan 23, 2007 10:34 AM

Wow, that is a beauty of a terrarium.

Is that homemade?? If so what materials did you use and how difficult was it to build??

funkymonkey Jan 23, 2007 11:17 AM

Yep all home made.

Made out of an old unit we had that we were no longer using,
or 12mm melamime face chipboard.

been really easy so far,
It will be the unit that it sits on that will be harder
as i hate having fixings and screws etc showing, so the unit unclusing shelves and dividers etc will all be doweled together which makes things a bit more tricky.

this is 6th one is i have built now, so no bother these days really.

Wow, very nice work, what tools do you need??

funkymonkey Jan 23, 2007 05:07 PM

Just for started i have already used

Drill
Screw driver
circular saw
drop saw
jigsaw

couple of 6 foot clamps

So its a pretty big project if you dont have garage stocked up already.

Hee, hee, hee--I don't even know what a "drop saw" is I'm impressed; that IS nice work!
