Local specific Pituophis breeders?

kopper Jan 23, 2007 08:15 AM

Just getting started in Pituophis and I was wondering can anyone recommend breeders for local-specific Pits. I know that the king and milksnake folks are big in to locality data. Any help would be appreciated!

I know Envy breeds a couple pit locales, they've always been cool and people sing thier praises although I've never dealt with them personally.

Cherryville farms has 11 localities of bull snakes. I don't know who sells gopher localities.

Definitely check out Jason Nelson @ Envy. He's got some cool locale specific Great Basin Gophers.

If you are looking for Kankakee County Ill Bulls, there are a few people that work with them. I got a male and female from two different people this year, both were getting out of breeding them. But since I see Kanakees on here at times, Id say that they are one of the easier Locals to find, and with good reason, they look really different. Not many people are going to keep alot of locals unless they have different markings from others, or are from different states. Be on the look out though!
