Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has any information about any pogona barbatas here in the US?
I have checked with most breeders, & no luck as of yet. Any suggestions would be great!!
Thanks a bunch.

The correct spelling is Pagona. I googled Pagona Barbata sale and found some ads on Herptrader and Herpswap among others. I didn't spend much time with it but most of the ads looked old. But you could still check with them on when they would have more available. I'm not sure why you really want one anyway. There's a reason Vitticeps is most popular.
Hello & thank you,
Ah, I mispelled it, sorry!! I have seen it spelled that way. OOPS!!
Thanks for the information. They are stunning, have you ever seen a pic of one?
I will look there & look around a bit more. I appreciate it.

Hello again,
That is so strange. All of the books I have say it is Pogona? Oh well it doesn't matter.
The vitticeps are supposed to be more tame, than the barbata species.
Thanks.
Tracie
Oops, sorry. I checked it out and Pogona is correct. I have seen pictures of Pogona Barbata and occasionally at a shows over the years . My take was always that they were dark and grew larger. I guess I feel 20" of Dragon is more than enough for me. lol. But, I know some like them bigger. To each their own I guess.
Hello,
Oh no problem. It is mispelled alot. Anyway, I did track someone down from an old add though!! I figured it was 2 years old, but decided to post anyway. The person actually got back with me. She is going to talk to a few people & see what she can come up with, as she no longer has them. It was on Fauna Classified.
The Barbatas are beautiful, & dark. Have you seen one, or just pictures?
Tracie
I'm sure I've seen them at shows(I go to a lot) but never really gave them much attention. They are very dark but that doesn't bother me. Having the prettiest Dragon is meaningless to me. I like them for their personality and have read that they are not as personable. But, that may not even be significant. Many lizards are plently tame if you interact with them enough and they are accustomed to you. So I'm sure an Eastern Dragon would still be at the top of the curve and make a great pet.
I'm more likely to get a few Lawson's Dragons. Been giving a lot of thought to 1M & 2F and keeping them together. Maybe I like quantity of Dragon's over volume of Dragon. lol.
