Boa breeding Damage, and Boa in surgery.

STUART Jan 23, 2007 05:21 PM

Well these two topics ARENT related. First - I have never seen this since I have been breeding boas, but this male is so intent on breeding this female he is damaging her scales. Something I really have never seen before. Check out the photos....

And second - my biggest albino girl is currently in surgery after developing a cyst next to her vent. They wanted me to leave her there for surgery and they said I could bring her home today, but after I called they said they needed to put a drain in the area and that I couldnt bring her home till the weekend. So Ive been pacing my floor worrying about her. I asked my wife if she thought I was crazy lol she said no she understands. Any how you really find out how much you love your animals when they go through things like this. I can only imagine what my vet bill is going to be ouch! Here is a picture not the best but the only one I have of her...

No, you're not crazy! She's a beautiful snake.

It must be terrible waiting like this. I hope everything is going smoothly. Tell us when you get her back.

As for the scale damage, I've never heard of that before either...
