I just pulled out my male who has been breeding for more than a month with a female and noticed it was very swollen on the outside of his spurs. I am kinda new to the breeding aspect of the care of these animals and have never seen this on any of my males over the past two years. the cage is always clean but damp because they would knock the water bowl over daily. thanks again for any info

There are black spots anterior to the cloaca that look like scale rot, and I would guess that is what the black areas surrounding the spurs is also.
