CITES Import process QUESTIONS- HELP

Gsc Jan 23, 2007 06:51 PM

I am looking to import a small group of insular boas (B.c.imperator) from a Canadian breeder. He is able to secure a Cites export permit from Canada for the animals.

My question is, I will need a Cites import permit since Boas are Cites animals...correct? I did many google searches trying to find a link for the process, but cannot locate anything.

Does anyone know the process or the paperwork I need to complete? The boas aren't represented in US collections- or else I would find a US breeder for them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Graham

You will need an import permit and a freight broker then follow the rest of the procedure. Here's the link that will fill you in on everything.

It might be easier if you find someone to bring them in for you and then ship them to you. This is a common way of handling these types of deals . Ernie Eison
