Ode to the mouse!

caz223 Jan 24, 2007 10:55 AM

One in particular.
Let me explain.
I raise mice for feeders, and there's always one mouse that you wish all the rest were like.
My newest matriarch is a generic albino lab mousie that has never had a litter of less than 12, eats equal parts of lab block and treat foods sometimes preferring the block (Loves chow mein noodles!), raises all babies introduced as her own, co-habitates with any mouse I introduce, has never allowed a mouse in her care to die, has the sweetest temperment, etc, etc.
You can reach right in while shes nursing babies and take a couple, she doesn't care. She will assist any female nursing and caring for the young, and is just a little angel.
I wish I could clone her and run off a dozen copies.

Keep some of her daughters, and sons...temperment and litter size are hereditary.
