Getting my first uro soon....question about diet....

Nicodemus Aug 10, 2003 12:20 PM

I've been looking into good brands of frozen veggies to buy and I've noticed that while most of them don't have any chemical additives, many brands have added salt.
Will added salt be a problem? I know they get rid of excess salt with those nifty glands at the nose, I just wanted to make sure they could handle a little more.

Also, whats a good brand of birdseed? From what I've been reading, I just have to make sure there are no sunflower seeds. Anything else I should look out for? Anything I should do to prepare it or is it fine right out the bag?

So basically this is the diet I've been planning so far:
Dandelion greens (flowers won't be as common unfortunately)
Collard greens
Turnip greens
Mustard greens
Frozen veggies (pea, corn, string bean mixes)
Bird seed (In a separate little bowl all the time)
A few crickets every week or two.

Anything I should add or get rid of?

Thanks in advance.

i'd nix the collard greens, i've heard they can be tough on their digestive systems.

we buy the normal birdseed from the grocery store, don't do anything to it other than take out the sunflower seeds and then let the little guys feast (and feast they do).
