if it's a NEW morph or not.....that's one BEAUTIFUL critter!!!! Congratulations!! Can you imagine the offspring??
Is the snake a pastel mojave that is het for hypo or did you get a hypo without a het to het breeding?
The hypo gene I am working with, has been proven to be co-dominant. I hatched out two killer bees amd spiders from this line that have same hypo gene, and are intense! It is my belief that almost any snake I breed into will produce a better snake, with reduced pigment with this gene, as such. steve
Nice one Steve...good luck making some more.

PASTAVE to me , rather then a new morph . But then again pics do NO JUSTICE as you all know and in person this animal may look different . You guys at Santa Cruz have produced some amazing combos , best of luck with it ,and your new Crystal too.
Rich-OldSkool Creations
Lets not get the two confused here, a new morph would be something entirely new, not seen as of yet. A designer showing three different and known mutations as in this fine animal.
Nice Hypo Motel...
The Santa Cruz line of Pastel Mojave (Pastave) is the best hands down! I produced a trio of Pastaves in 05 and they donot even compare. Its nice to see how this lineage cleans up basically anything it touches... Here is my male and I cannot wait to see what he produces!

Steve:
I've not met you before, but have been enjoying the quality of your animals for many years. The Hypo Pastel Mojave is a beautiful snake.
Also congratulations on attaining the Crystal Ball.
Good luck with your 2007 season.

Thanks much Brian. Just wait till Tom and I breed this hypo and Crystal balls with our Killer and Bumble bees!
while I understand what you are saying about the genetics behind the animal pictured, what I don't understand is why this is different than some of the other really nice pastaves I've seen? Have you proven out the "co-dom" hypo gene that is in your animals fully? Now I do understand that every morph does not have to be bred out completely to know that it is a morph, but what does this new "co-dom" hypo look like by itself? It is known that light females throw light babies but they are not morphs, perhaps this is the same. Also maybe the pic doesn't do the snake justice and in person it looks vastly different than other nice and light pastaves and what I've said is crazy but can we see the new co-dom hypo trait by itself?
