Updated King Rat photos...

Kestrel Jan 25, 2007 05:44 PM

Some new photos of my two King Rats.. I purchased both of these as freshly imported, tan hatchlings. I believe the guy said he imported them from a farm in Hunan, China. They're both around 6-7 months old now.

This was them about a month after I received them.

1

and 2

And now..

1 - The larger of the two. Turning very black.

2 - The smaller of the pair(doesn't eat nearly as well). He has a nice yellow bumble-bee pattern developing.

Wow! The first one looks much darker than any I've seen before.
Keep us posted on their progress.

They look like they are thriving for you and maturing rapidly. Your importer thinks he knows where they originated? That's interesting. I've never had any success getting any real locale info from China. Nice camera work. Were they hard to photo?

Wow very nice. You obviously like them you got two more. You said the new one aren't eating as well as the older ones. I had a hard time getting mine WC to eat, I got one CB and he was great.
I love how dark yours are, they will be stunning as adults.
Good luck with them.
