From Germany to anywhere?

zefdin Jan 26, 2007 11:32 AM

Does anyone know whats up with the “From Germany to anywhere” ads? They have some really cool and unusual stuff, but I myself would be concerned with ordering from that far away. I guess in this day and age, the world has become so small, and you can get just as burnt by someone 300 miles away as 3000?

I am NOT saying that the people posting these ads are unscrupulous, I have NO idea one way or the other. It’s just with the Nigerian people who respond to my ads & the other ones from different countries that attempt to “Wire Funds if it’s OK with me” stuff, I get a little nervous.

Stephan has outstanding ball pythons. I purchased from him at Daytona last year. Check his website...it has an english version you can choose....It can be pricey since its shipped from Germany, but you can also buy from him and pick up at Daytona. Thats what i did! Brad

Sounds good, but i would not want my BP shipped and haveing to travel that far too many risks, I live in Pennsylvania. I use AlexHues Reptiles, He has an awesome collection as well and I got my male from him. So if you are looking for something US...it's just a shot. I also got one of my female leos from him. Great Prices as well.

I have bought from Alex before too...Good Guy....Stephan goes to Africa every year and collects some REALLY nice animals. I believe in april or May you can sign up for his email list and he will email a HUGE file of pics of the snakes he got there and you can purchase....Its worth buying from him! I know from experience...but just my 2 CENTS! Brad

You can definately tell he's got some funky stuff that no one else has. I'm glad to see its on the up and up. I'll have check his site out.

Also, as far as shipping from as far away Germany goes, I have never bought from over seas, but if your snake is on one plane for 10 hours and you meet it at the airport, it may be better off.

Shipments here in the USA might be loaded on a truck, taken to the airport for a 3 hour flight, then banged around or left to sit in a cold shipping hub, before being transferred by another one or two more trucks until you get it at your home? You never know?

Thanks
