Switching older corn from live to F/T

sxebombshell Jan 26, 2007 03:32 PM

A good friend of mine has an older full grown corn, it was a class pet or something, but isnt being used for that/needed/being paid attention to. I was going to take it in, but its always been fed live and they said they are pretty sure it wont eat killed or frozen/thawed.

Anyone have any ideas on switching an OLDER snake?
I'm not really ok with feeding live.

Thanks!

Make sure the snake is REALLY hungry. Let it wait an extra week to eat. If it eats every week, then wait two weeks to try. If it eats every two weeks, then wait three weeks to try.

Warm the frozen/thawed item up really well, not hot enough to burn the snake, but a bit warmer than tepid. You can also hit it with a hair dryer right before putting it in.

Try using tongs to trick the snake into thinking that it is alive.
