Slaytonp - Background finished?

Considering you're the one who showed me to Dendroboard in the first place, i'll direct this post to you.

This is what i've come up with so far. I'm still waiting to find some plants. I know there are a few great people I can order from on the internet, but i'm trying to keep it newbie friendly as this is my first vivarium. Every time I find a plant I think will work, it ends up being one that grows to 6 feet tall. If you have any suggestions for plants that I can find in a Home Depot, Lowes, or Armstrong Gardens type of place, i'd really appreciate it.

Otherwise, here we go. No water feature, as it's only a 10g, but i'm slightly addicted to construction, so i'll probably try a bigger tank next. I'm planning on getting a pair of D. Auratus, because they are the ones that caught my eye the most. I'd like some Terribilis, but they're a little expensive considering I don't quite know what's going on yet.

Thanks!

That looks very nice, Andrew and should make a couple of aruatus very happy. I did send you a private message e-mail dome time ago with some information on glasshouse works, where you can browse their terrarium section and get some ideas to compare with what you can find locally. When I do get to a Wal Mart or one of the chains in Idaho Falls--a long way away, I've rarely found anything suitable in their house plant section, so I really can't advise you there, although I know some people do pick up some bromeliads from Wal Mart occasionally, and use other stuff from there now and then. While the extra shipping cost is certainly something to consider, often they have many plants or cuttings cheap enough to be worth ordering from an online catalog. You can do it the old fashioned way by sending in a check with your order, if you're shy about online credit card purchases.

Cool thanks for the site, I never got the e-mail. I think it's been blocking some stuff, as i've had a few other peopel complain.

It probably went into your spam conrol thingy. I sometimes sound like a spammer.
