Here is my Herald Snake chowing a pink this morning. This is a rear-fanged species from Africa. Neat snake. Its venom killed that pink in a minute but its tight grasp might have something to do with how quickly the pinkie seemed to pass away.

aside from the newsprint and pink corpse , THAT is an awesome gorgeous photo ! Is the venom humanotoxic ? If you dunno, I will search out.
