Hopefully we can see some offspring from these two! Hopefully the boy proves out!! Although, give me a few years to actually do it... lol.

Thanks,

Ben,
Good work, I hope it takes. Also, what are the sizes and ages of these two, and did you run them through a cooling period. Thanks,
Kelly
Thanks Kelly! The female is around 4 yrs. and the male is around 3.5 yrs. (as far as I know, it was imported smaller, so just estimating age). And yep, both were cycled. I'm having a lot more trouble getting my Greens to go than I am Yellows, they are being a royal pain! haha.
Thanks,
Ben R.
I believe it is definitely more difficult to get greens to successfully reproduce in captivity than many other boids. Even with a green that is fairly calm, they still maintain an inherent shyness and slight nervousness in captivity that is characteristic of this species. You can really see this when trying to acclimate a wild caught green, as even many wild caught neonate greens find it extremely difficult to adapt to a captive environment. This is why it is so critical to establish calm, captive born lineages of this species. Thanks,
Kelly
Couldn't agree more! Just by interacting with calm Greens on a daily basis, you can easily notice that they are very shy snakes, and will still react upon being startled in the least. Hopefully by March the male will get the point though, just wont get those spurs moving!
Here is a picture of the Yellow I took a few days ago before I changed out some paper towels. Going to be very dissapointed if it didn't take! haha.

Thanks,
Ben Renick
She has great breeding weight on her. I would be very surprised if she didn't take. What is she, about 8 or 9 feet?
Kelly
She hasn't eaten in 3 months, and the photo was about a week after the axanthic got a hold of her (the breeding happened awhile ago, before I posted pics). So hoping for the best! She is around 8' I suppose.
Thanks Kelly!
