What do we know about banana blizzard

Gazz Jan 28, 2007 02:32 PM

I know that so called true banana blizzard is surpose to be both patternless and blizzard.Example breed banana to a blizzard get blizzards or breed a banana to a patternless get patternless but has this actually been proven.I know it's said to be but who has actually done it.The first to get a banana was prestoric pets and from what i've read they don't say that's how the genetics work to get that result. So how do we know there not just hi yellow blizzards ?? are there any creadible breeders that have actually done it all the way.example patternless X blizzard = het patternless & blizzard.
Het patternless & blizzard X het patternless & blizzard = banana blizzard/amoung other. Then banana blizzard X patternless = 100% pattertnless.I have no proof but i beleave the banana blizzard to be nothing more than a hi yellow blizzard and when you breed het to het you get possible hets so the one so called true banana that i've read about may have been nothing more than a hi yellow blizzard that just happened to be het patternless ?? so not really that special ??.

Het patternless & blizzard X patternless & blizzard = banana blizzard AKA patternless/blizzard.

But also.

Het patternless & blizzard X het patternless & blizzard = also can result in a hi yellow blizzard het patternless whitch can near enough result in the same result when bred to a patternless. If you only got a couple eggs witch hatch that just happened to be patternless you'd jump to the concluion that you had a banana blizzard AKA patternless/blizzard ??.

I think your on the right path. The Blizzards have so much range of color in there own morph it's easy to get confused and think other morphs have been bred into them.
To my knowledge the Blizzards were selectively bred amongst themselves to produce the "Banana" & "Midnight" Blizzards. I've had four Blizzards over the years and all four looked very different.

i never even heard of the patternless/blizzard being called bannana. I got out of leos about 3 years ago...then the bannana was just said to be select bred.. But it would be very cool to have a patt/blizz..garrick at crestedgecko has some nice pics of bliz babies, that resemble adlt patternless. So now i see were this could be mistakn..Im babling. bye
