I am looking for information on how to build a CO2 chamber. What materials do I need to purchase? Are there any CON's to using a CO2 chamber?
Thank you

The best way to do it is with a 20 oz paintball co2 tank. All you need is the tank, a "remote coil" for the tank, which is the valve attachment and a hose with a quick release end. You'll also need a big enough air-tight rubbermaid tub for the chamber and a few feet of rubber tubing.
Cut a hole in the lower part of the tub for the quick release end and seal it with silicone. Cut another hole in the lid for the rubber tubing and seal that with silicone. That's pretty much it.
pic's he wants pic's lol. I still need to build one for now its tail whack.

Ok here's a pic of the setup I described. 7-Up can is for size comparison purposes only =) I used a smaller tub and it can only fit 1 or 2 rats, but I don't really feed adult rats anyway.
The exhaust tubing coming out of the top goes in a glass of water to prevent oxygen backflow.

I'd do the same thing, except, I wouldn't get a remote coil. I haven't been able to find a remote coil for less than $30.
You can get an on/off valve that does the same thing for $14.

It works the same way- you just use plain old plastic tubing to connect the tank to your bucket, instead of connecting it with the remote coil. That On/Off valve is the same as part of the remote coil that attaches to the tank. It'd work the same, just $10 cheaper.
I paid about $20 for the remote coil, and to me it's worth it to get the quick release connector and not have to worry about getting the tubing to fit.
Do you pre-charge your chamber and then add rats? How long do you leave them in? How much gas do you pump in and how do you know when there's enough gas?
