Uro sizes all depend on the specific uro breed. Deerfernfarms.com has the sizes and estimated prices under each breed on their site. Great for information also. But uro's range from smaller breeds of about 10 or 11 inches to 24" egyptians.
Also they should be housed in no smaller than a 50 gallon tank, that is the minimum.
Good luck feel free to post away too!
This is my one saharan Rico he is still growing a bit and is 9.5 inches now, he should reach about 11 inches.

Sounds like you are a uro-newbie looking to get involved with these faboo animals, good for you! They are oodles of fun!!

Mali's are great starter uros, and you can get the most fantastic captive born specimens for considerably less than $100. Mali's probably don't get any more than 10" s-v. i'd recommend getting two and raising them together, mine love the companionship. the important thing with malis isn't really cage size, but that they have adequate room to dig and plenty of hide space and basking heat.

deer fern farms website (www.deerfernfarms.com) has a lengthy care sheet and descriptions of the many varieties of uros that are available to you.

good luck
