WEll I just got my first GTP he is still pretty small and from what I have been reading everyone says keep him in something small. Well I currently have a large, 4ftx2ftx2.5 ft. He seems happy in here. He ate 5 days after ive had him. ( I have had him for 8 days now. I have the temps at 84 towards the top and 75 at the bottom. He moves around the whole cage at night and dosent seemed to be stressed at all. Is there any reason I should take him out and put him in something smaller if he seems fine?

It's much more difficult to keep humidity and temps in check when using larger cages. It can be done, but it much more effecient, especially with young animals, to use smaller enclosures. Juveniles are prone to dehydration from being in large open cages. This can cause damage to the kidneys that sometimes isn't apparent until it's too late. Just make sure it's well hydrated and eating. Good luck.

I mist him and the entire cage down 2-3 times a day. with about 8 ounces of water each time.
