when they show signs of freezer burn, throw them out.

I try to rotate my frozen mice to not stay longer than 3-4 months in the freezer. They could probably last longer than that, but that's just what I go by.

It's the air that causes the freezer burn and ruins the protein. Try getting that vaccuum sealer to suck out all the air to preserve the mice better.
