How funny

tomorrow264 Jan 29, 2007 11:30 PM

I just found this funny and wanted to share. I went to feed my girl, thawed her 2 mice, offered her one and she got right up there smelling it and then just turned away so I put it back and grabbed the other mouse and offered it, she struck right away. I waited till she swallowed that one and offered the refused one once more and she refused it again so I thawed a 3rd mouse and she takes it right away. I just found it amusing. You think she knows something I don't or just being picky?

As I have stated in preivious posts I am relatively new to Ball Pythons but have dealt exclusively with Burms and Retics for the last 15 years. I have had a few specimens that were so finicky that they would only eat certain colored rodents. One would only eat tan rats and one wouldn't eat any that had spots. Just a strange little quirk some snakes have. Very strange considering that both Burms and Retics are usually ravenous eaters. Anyway, goodluck in figuring it out. Todd
