Make sure you get an under tank heater. Zoo med makes some good ones, mone is always consistent. You want it to cover about a third of the bottom of the tank. They can be pricey. Mine was 22.00 for a 10-20 gallon size heat pad. And a really good mineral dust formula. Read along on this forum and you'll find some good advice. I use a leopard gecko dust by T-rex. And good luck, it's a nice looking normal. I'd guess it'd be around 5 months old.

lovely picture's ..

umm one thing though your temp thing on the wall does not alaways give the right temp on the floor... so i qould suggest a round temp .... or one that you can read on the floor .. for accrate reading's .

good luck though

Oh where to begin. First off your little guy/girl has the starting of MBD (metabolic bone disease) in his/her left front leg. Pictures are not clear enough to see the other leg.

Get him/her off that substrate, use paper towels, reptile carpet, or slate tile.

Under Tank Heater is a must for belly heat so he/she digest it's food properly.

That sticky thermometer thing is not going to cut it, you need to measure the floor temps (not air temps) and they should be from 90 degrees on the hot side to 75-80 on the cool side.

How many hides (moist and dry) do you have, what supplements are you offering?

This is the second time a in a week that someone has posted pics on a forum of a newly acquired Leo that already has MBD, this is happening too frequent.

That's because we have impulse buyers who have no cliue about the herp before they are buying and they are not getting supplied sufficient amounts of calcuim. I agree it is happening too much. People need to make sure there is always PURE calcuim in a dish avavilable to the at ALL times. Not D3, d3 should only be used about 1 a week not even and crix or mealies are to be dusted with this, not just fed to the leo!
