This animal came into rescue last March after his owner passed away. The second and third photos were shot the day of intake. When he goes thru a shed now he is exhibiting some beige, almost metallic looking colors on his back and he has lots of rusty red on his underside. The 1st photo was taken recently during a shed. He looks very different than my known Cubans and I don't see any lewisi influence. Caymanensis, maybe?

Looks like a full blooded cuban to me, What makes him different from your other known cubans ?

Both of my Cubans are much darker in coloration without the very visible stripes along their sides. This boy's head gets very light in color when he's really heated up. My male Cuban has a red underside that starts at the throat while this guy only has red on his belly. What little light coloration my Cubans have does not have the tannish metallic look that this boy is developing.

I will have to take some good head shots to compare but I believe the scale counts and placement of the conical shaped scales below the tympanic membrane are quite different also.

I beleive you are looking at morphs among cubans even though there is not alot of difference between the breeds: Cyclura ubans. Even thoughnubila nubila verses cyclura nubila caymanesis vs cyclura nubila lewisi.
