Never seen a Leo like this...

ChondroConga Jan 30, 2007 11:54 PM

A friend of mine owns this Leo, and I've never seen another like it. I know this probably sounds stupid, but could someone tell me what morph it is?

I would also guess bliz but i have seen Patternless leos dark like that. They also resembl,e a blizzard when they are dark.

blizzards are patternless)

CSHerps Feb 01, 2007 05:31 PM

Actually Blizzards & Patternless (also known as Murphy Patternless) are two seperate simple recessive pattern morphs. Even though both are patternless as adults Murphy Patternless hatch out with a dark yellow pattern (I know this sound funny) that fades away as the gecko matures.
Blizzards hatch out patternless and remain patternless all there lives. There are also some other slight differences between the two.
Also, if you were to breed a Murphy Patternless to a Blizzard you would get Normal offspring double heterozygous for both morphs.

patternless have the weird raindrop look as babys and turn more yellow. were blizzards are usually white, grey, and bananas are only yellow on sides.

Yeah, raindrop look, that's a better way to put it.
