you're right, that would be cool. For the last couple of years (decades almost) everyone's attention has been for colored sandfire dragons. I remember when sandfire dragons where first available and for a measly $800. Right now people here in america (at least the big important breeders) are on a race to make some albinos.
Just like we've come up with hypomelanistics, we could come up with some "hypermelanistics". The only thing is, its not that easy to find normal dragons these days.

my large male is very very dark...sometimes you just luck out with one like that...his beard is so black i swear it almost has a bluish tint to it
This is the closest to black i've ever seen.

Just curious. How are the breeders in a race to make an albino. Did some get there hands on some hets or something. Just curious, didn't think a albino could be made without the genetics already present.
A friend of mine had a black dragon a few years ago crop up out of a breeding between a regular and a red. It's a male and he wouldn't breed so he traded him for a nice orange male I don't know if the buyer ever got him to breed though?
