person Aug 10, 2003 06:47 PM

i've always sort of assumed that incense would be bad for the animals in my room (a scorpion, a turtle, and a cal king snake), but lately my rooms been gettin moldy smelling (thanks to the jersey weather). theres no mold in the cages, but the room still smelling, and i would like to use incense. does anyone have any input on how this could affect my animals? thanks

Ok heres the deal on INcense, Cheap incense usually contains salt peter and snakes HATE THAT , it drives them nuts,

I make incense myself, so the thing to remember is that cheap incense contains salt peter , but the more expensive incenses, such as japanese and others contain other things and not salt peter and may be safe to use, but smelling smoke is bad for any animals nerves i think.

Id avoid it entirly, but for sure cheap ones, Such as Gonesh and most any walmart brands
