Should I be concerned?

frogsandchams Aug 10, 2003 06:56 PM

I have 2 Barking Tree Frogs.
One is a plump "normal" looking frog, with his normal colors.
The other, is okay looking, (not too fat), but is very bright green, but, has been just hanging out at the water bowl for the past 4 days. Should I be concerned? He or she doesn't look sick, just sits there content. Except I have to move him manually when I change the water, he doesn't get annoyed at all. Just hops back to the water by the end of the day!

what are the temps, humidity etc, of your enclosure? has he been eating? frogs can/will sometimes go to the water for long periods of time when they are sick, but we need to know more about your set-up.

Peeked in this morning, after almost a week, the Barking Tree Frog has left his spot at the watering hole. I see a Barker on top of one of the branches in his usual color, but not sure if it is the same frog or the other one. (Can't tell them apart!) Of course, can't seem to find the other guy at the moment, might have to wait till tonight to see if the colors changed!
SO.....like the subject above says, must have been a vacation!

Guess he climbed on a plant sometime this morning and now he's gone. TIme to bury him now in my froggie graveyard.
