here are a couple of maps i made... both showing the islands of the bonerate chain, located in the Flores sea in south east indonesia... the first map is a typological map, with some distortion from its projection... the second map is orthographic and is not distorted. both were created using arcmap.

i want point out that each map has a scale, in miles. you can see how close these island are to each other, especially madu and kalaotoa... i would also like to bring your attention to the fact that there arent thousands of islands in this area... as you can see for yourself there are few... and they all HAVE names. these images dont lie folks.

the takabonrate region is a popular dive spot that is made of many reef formations and atolls...
