Whats up with this?

I am new to breeding boas.I've been breeding ball pythons for the last three years. Well.. about three weeks ago I thought I witnessed ovulation.... she swelled up over a couple of days and got huge. Since then the last 2/3 of her body stayed plump looking like she was gravid. Now I go to check on her about 1 hr ago and see this? thought I'd take some pics and glad I did cause 20 mins. later it is almost gone? Could someone explain what this was and give me an estamate on when to expect babies. Sorry for the long post just has me stumped.
Thanks Casey

125 days from today, that is my call. I think that what you just saw was ovulation earlier you saw a preovulation swelling. The other possibility is that the right and left sides ovulated at different times. Craig

You should see her go into a shed cycle that is longer than usual (14-17 days). Approximately 105 days after she sheds you should have babies. If she is going to slug out (unfertilized ova) it will usually happen about 2 weeks early. Good luck!

for them to slug out? What temp should I keep her at while gravid? Thanks again for answering my questions!

fertilized and she lays what look like large egg yolks. I would keep the ambient temperature at 84 degrees and a hot spot of 95-105 degrees. Hope this helps!
