The forum has been a bit slow of late. What is everyone breeding this year? Here's a few projects that I've got going this year:

Axanthic x albino (easterns)
Albino x flame (easterns)
Albino x erythristic (easterns)
DH (silver x axanthic) x DH (silver x axanthic) (easterns)

Hi Marian,

Thats a paradox leucistic eastern garter. I got her from Shawn Noble a few years ago. She was one of the smallest full adult females I ever had, around 19-20" long. She bred the last year I had her (2003), she had 16 babies and then passed away about 2 weeks after giving birth. Her babies are now full grown and will try breeding them this year.

I checked him last night, he's doing fine. He's still in brumation. Here's pics of him as a baby and an adult.

I've got a two-year old pair of DH(snow)plains from Scott, they're not very big, but I'm hoping they will produce this year.
Also an albino male and a high-red,het-albino female. She's only a yearling, but she's huge.
1.1 Oregon
1.1 Red Sided
I've also got a female albino eastern who is looking for a mate, anybody have an eligible batchelor for sale?

Good luck with your breeding this year. Which albino eastern strain are you looking for ?

My female albino eastern is a Schuett strain that I got from you two years ago. She big and healthy, a good eater, just out of hibernation and ready to breed. But I don't have anything worth breeding her to! I'd like an albino or het male, or I would cross her to a flame or an erythristic. Better yet, if I could get a male flameXalbino....

The albino is compatible with your double het male. If you bred them succesfully, there would be the possibility of producing snows and/or melanistics too.

Any way you look at it, it would be a nice pairing for you.
