If you are going to build a cage that big, I would just go ahead and making something a little bigger to accommodate a full grown burm. If you can go with something around 6' x 4' or 8' x 3' that would give your burm much more floor space. My 18' female is going into a 10' x 4' x 4' cage in the very near future and even that is probably going to be a little tight but since she comes out for many education programs, this won't be a big deal. For your hatchlings you might consider rearding them in a smaller cage for the first year or two....baby snakes do much better in smaller cages that provide the security that is critical to their overall health.

Our actual address is 400 Hastings Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045. By early October we will be moving to our "new" location; an old gentleman's farm built in 1917 in west Lake Forest...it will be spectacular. If you want to come for a visit I would highly recommend that you call me in advance to schedule a time (847-615-4388). Thanks, Rob
