Shipping Feeders in Cold Weather

geckonate Feb 02, 2007 11:11 AM

With just about a month or so of winter here in New England, does anyone have great experience with shipping mealies/crix in the winter?

Who is good about shipping them (predominantly mealies) ?

What shipping services are good?

Thanks.

I use LLL Reptiles. They ship to me so far and it's pretty cold here. They use het warmers and double box the crix although, they will not ship below certain temps, it tells you on there website. I was told Ghanns was cheaper, not to me, they are as far as price like 2000 for 19.00 but shipping prices are outrageous.....i would have paid 42.00 or so to be shipped to me. Instead i pay 26.99 shipped. So cheapest and most reliable i have found so far!

whereabouts do you live? Does it compare to 11 degree overnight highs?

LLL won't ship below 35 or above 90. Sorry, forgot to put that, but i still believe them to be the cheapest. I am located in pa!
