Crested Gecko help

ziluv017 Feb 02, 2007 06:24 PM

Hello all!
I am new to this forum and have just purchased a male and female crested gecko. We were wondering how to go about breeding the best way? They are in a 29 gallon with a moist soil type substrate and have plenty of foilage.

Well, I can't see the pic... But I'm guessing you didn't do much reading before you bought this pair.. Because if you did, you would know all you pretty much have to do to breed crested geckos is house them together. That's pretty much it. Make sure the female gets alot of pure calcium in her diet because making eggs takes alot out of her. Other than that, you just need to keep the substrate moist, not wet! Make sure there is enough humidity in the tank. How deep is the substrate? Also, you should get something to weigh them on. The female needs to be at least 30 grams before you should be breeding her. Where did you get them from? How big are they? Are you sure they are ready to breed? Just answer these questions to make sure you aren't going to put your geckos in any harm...
