is misting good for breeding?

So far no luck. My male isn't cooperating. I just seperated them for a few days and want to try again. Day temps are in the low 80's, night temps low to mid 70's. The female is a little over 5 ft and active. The male only wants to hide. Would misting them every morning help any?
