Something in her eye?

sunflowerdragon Feb 03, 2007 04:34 PM

I'm not sure if it's normal, but can you see the red line going across her eye?

Oh wait, I just checked her eye, and the line is gone now. I think it might have just been a trick of the camera flash.

well, actually, It is in my other pictures... I'm confused.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Is it the line going across the bottom of the iris?

I think what you are seeing as a 'red line' is actually the edge of her inner eye lid. The flash probably caught it mid close, as she instinctively tried to close her eyes from the flash. If you can't see it in her eyes looking at her with the naked eye, probably just the edge of the inner eyelid partially closing. If you can still see it, it could be a few things. A natural pigmentation of the eye, the inner eyelid still, though it shouldn't be partially closed all the time (may be something irritating her eye) or a scratch on her eye. The last two possibilities will need a vet examination to treat/diagnose. However if you don't see it when looking at her, then it is nothing to worry about.

I don't see it except in the photo.
Thanks for the help.

stop taking flash photos of her and everything will be fine. I have managed to get excellent shots of my snake and lizards without using a flash.
