Woe is me. So..shall I rip everything off the background and trash the tank?
How on earth did it get broken?
Here's how I would salvage it, if it were mine: Seal the breaks with silicon--GEII or DAP. Then fill in behind (inside) a piece of cork bark with some Great Stuff. Let it dry, trim it flat and silicon the bark to that side for a second background wall. (Bark part facing inside the tank, and the back facing outside, of course.) It won't look too hot from that side from the outside, but it will save the tank.
