k i have a 11 month old ball python. every time i feed her i have to pick her up and put her head by the f/t mouse and then she puts her mouth over it and then slowly eats without constricting or anything. any tips to get her to start eating aggressivly would be great.

Maybe make it move a little might get her interested. I have a female tha wil not coil, it started with the frozen thaws , I gues d she figuers why bother..

I think you've actually got the best behavior in a snake by not having aggression. For most herp people, just keeping them eating is the goal.

Feed live, that oughta do the trick . Many snakes turn "lazy" once they realize dinner is dead to start with.

I have a het albino female that refuses to eat f/t, but eats live rats the same way. She'll just go up to it and gently grab it behind its neck and just hold the rat with the rats head in her mouth until the rat dies. She has not constricted one rat since I have owned her. The crazy part is that the rats have never even fought back. They just kind of dangle from her mouth limp.

I also caught another het albino female (when she was smal) swallow a rat pup alive without constricting it or even waiting for it to die.

I have a corn that dose this to live pinks. He will not consricted them and eats them live. pretty gross to watch. Wiggle and Squiggle the whole way down lol.
