Question About My Females Behavior

disneyvillianess Aug 10, 2003 09:06 PM

Hi,

I was just wondering on something

my female when she sees the male and he is bobbing his head will wiggle her behind...she just started doing this a few days ago

is she doing this because she wants to mate with him?

Thanks,
Jeanette

lol possibly, maybe she's just a tease

Seriously, that is possible. If she does slow head bobs and an arm wave then it's a good sign she does, or at lease is thinking about it. When the dragons are together and the male bites her to get in position, often the females will raise their tail in the air for "easier access."

Keep a close eye on her the next month or so. If you do not breed them, and she has been stimulated and wants to breed, she may develop infertile eggs regardless if the male is in contact with her or not, and she'll have to have someplace setup to lay them or it will cause problems.

I was calling her that....A Tease

It's funny to watch, but I haven't heard of this behavior

I have 25 eggs in the incubator already from her that are due to hatch at the end of the month
