metal toe tags

drzrider Feb 04, 2007 08:48 AM

I have seen many spectacled caiman with the metal toe tags. I was wondering what information can be obtained from the tag?
i.e. breeder/importer, hatch date, cb or wc, etc?

Thanks for the info.

These are usually id tags and normally found on CB animals, but in some cases such as legal wild caught american alligators they have tag like this to show they were wild caught.

When I recieve CB crocodiles from over sea's they come with these tags and the numbers on the tags matches the CITES paperwork to identify the animal.

hope this helps.
